Andrew Kwan Named Chair of Lawyers for Literacy Committee
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (July 7, 2015) – Andrew Kwan, attorney at the West Palm Beach, Fla.-based law firm Beasley & Galardi, P.A., was recently appointed chairperson of the 2015-2016 Lawyers for Literacy Committee for the Palm Beach County Bar Association. This committee raises awareness in the community about the critical importance of literacy.
Kwan, who has been involved with the committee since 2013, aims to build on past successes to further highlight literacy programs in Palm Beach County. He has volunteered over the years by reading to students, recording books for the blind and dyslexic, and collecting items for children who have been adopted.
Prior to joining Beasley, Kramer & Galardi, P.A., Kwan served as a law clerk for United States Magistrate Judge Linnea R. Johnson and as a judicial intern for United States District Judge Kenneth A. Marra. His work at the District Court encompassed a wide variety of federal civil litigation matters. He has also received practical litigation skills training as a member of the University of Florida Law Trial Team, where he competed in the TYLA National Trial Competition.
He is a member of the Palm Beach County Bar Association, the Florida Bar and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
